You do not need a medical card to buy cannabis legally in Connecticut. However, if you wish to enjoy the benefits of lower taxes and higher purchase limits, you may want to consider becoming a medical patient and obtain a medical card.
The medical card certification is provided by the State of Connecticut Medicinal Marijuana Program. To start the process, you need to visit a Connecticut-licensed physician, physician’s assistant, or advanced practice registered nurse, be diagnosed with a qualifying condition, and have the medical professional send their certification to the state for your qualifying condition. For your convenience, Nautilus Botanicals has partnered with CMed to offer medical card certification services. Please visit Connecticut Medical Marijuana Card – CMed Get your CT medical marijuana card with CMed.
