Luis Vega is the social equity applicant and CEO of Nautilus Botanicals. As a justice-impacted individual, it has been Luis’ dream to be involved in the legal cannabis industry. His journey began as the first Latino hemp farmer in Connecticut in 2019, where he grew and manufactured hemp. He remained involved in the hemp industry and became a strong advocate for cannabis. In 2022, he applied and received approval for a Section 149 license when Connecticut opened the adult use market.

Nautilus Botanical’s mission is to provide opportunities for hiring and community development/reinvestment in the communities in which we operate. We will promote diversity and inclusivity via job opportunities and partnerships with key community organizations. Given our CEO’s background, we will focus our hiring on the minority and prison re-entry populations.
